INSURANCE & LIABILITY COVER
All Crossroads Car Hire vehicles are comprehensively insured to provide peace of mind while travelling throughout Southern Africa.
Our standard insurance includes an excess liability of N$35,000 per incident. Guests may reduce their excess liability by selecting one of the optional waiver packages below.

Cross-Border Travel
Insurance cover is valid for travel within:
- Namibia
- South Africa
- Botswana
- Lesotho
- Eswatini (Swaziland)
- Zimbabwe
- Malawi
Please notify us in advance if cross-border travel is planned so that the necessary documentation and approvals can be arranged.
Security Deposit
The applicable excess liability amount will be secured prior to vehicle collection via:
- Credit Card Authorisation
- EFT
- Cash Deposit
Provided the vehicle is returned in the same condition and free from damage, the security deposit will be refunded accordingly.
Important Information
Insurance does not cover damage caused by:
- Negligent or reckless driving
- Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs
- Water damage or river crossings
- Driving on restricted roads or in prohibited areas
- Failure to adhere to Namibia’s road regulations and rental terms
We strongly encourage guests to drive cautiously, particularly on gravel roads and in wildlife areas.
